Anyway, back to the show! Mommy was right, I think it was nearly all for us, the first stall we went past gave me 2 bags of treats and there was a whole row of dog shop stalls!! I watched the gun dog scurry but Mommy said I wouldn't be able to have a go because my lurcher trait is stronger than the poodle bit and I can't retreve by scent, only by sight. That is why lurchers are called sight hounds.
The day got better because as well as meeting loads of really lovely dogs and other animals, Mommy gave me a special treat. We shared a big chocolate and cream bun called a chocolate king. It was awesome and I got cream all over my beard!! I was a very good boy and enjoyed watching the horses and monster trucks but I was a bit sad when I wasn't allowed in the petting farm tent. I could see little bunnies in there and I love little bunnies, I just can't quite manage a whole one.
We carried on looking at everything for a while and then went back to one of the dog stalls. It was one that sells lovely beds and things for sleigh dogs - I am not a sleigh dog but I was a dog that needed a new bed! Mommy and Daddy bought me the most beautiful purple bed, it is big enough to spread out on and Mommy said it won't bite her ankles like my old, chewed bread tray.(Mommy was going to add a photo of me on my new bed but will have to do that tomorow as she isn't clever enough) I am going to go and enjoy my new bed because I am rather tired after my busy day!
Me on my lovely new bed! |
My mum would have loved going to the Cotswold Show, she will have to settle for North DevonShow in August. Your new bed looks wonderful, you are one very lucky boy.

Hello Roger, Bertie here!
ReplyDeleteI follow William too and so I thought I'd look in on you too, especially as you were born not far from where we live in Tring.
I do like your dark looks and what a family tree you have.
I also rather like your new bed, perhaps I'll put one that on my Christmas list...
Take care
Bertie
